Hello again to all of the regular and new visitors to this blog. A special hello to all new parents at St Vincents and also to the many new staff.
We think you will find the parents at St Vincent's are a great bunch of people who really care about our school. We would urge all new parents to participate in the many events organised by the excellent PFA or to join the PFA yourself.
Following the extraordinary events at the school at the end of last term, the blog took a summer break, but now it's back, hoping that the new academic year will see some improvements in the way our school is managed and run.
This blog has had a tremendous impact over the past few months and I think the time has come to expand it's range to develop a truly vibrant and dynamic forum for discussion, information and news about the school.
Sadly the 'official' school website appears to be defuct,so perhaps the blog can fill this void. Feel free to add your comments and opinions on the life and times of the school.
It is obvious that a number of parents have concerns and questions about the school which are not being adequately answered or dealt-with. This blog can provide just such an opportunity and would welcome such questions as you may have and will attempt to assist with answers or advice.
I'm sure many parents would love to hear what has happened about the school books this term. Please let us all know your experience of this particular issue.

PARENT GOVERNOR ELECTIONS
Just to remind all parents that the deadline for nominations for the Parent Governor election is this Wednesday. If that does not give you enough time to contact the two current Parent Governors, as the letter helpfully suggests, to find out what the post entails, then go to the two websites listed on this Blog, the Diocese Education service and governor.net, and they both have a useful section of what the post entails.
