Just revisiting a couple of points...

From time to time, it may be useful to highlight in the main post some comments that have been left here. Some people have said that it's hard to wade through all the comments ( we have amassed quite a few now). Here are a couple that deserve to be aired again.
The first one is about the website. I did think that the explanation of the website being'locked' just didn't quite stack up. But then, the feeling of things 'not quite stacking up' is one we are becoming quite familiar with. This comment was left a couple of weeks ago:

"I was curious about the claim made to parents that the school website was somehow 'blocked' and therefore currenly innaccesible for updating etc. This was the explanation given to the question about why the website has been so neglected of late.I decided to phone the webmaster and find out if this was true. IT IS'NT.Mrs Cleugh told him when he first made contact with her shortly after her arrival in post that she no longer needed his services.Unpaid and as a matter of goodwill, he continued to post newsletters as they were sent to him by Mrs Goodrick. This all stopped in October last year ( which would correspond I think to when she went off sick). he continues to monitor the message board as a goodwill gesture. Rather noble of him I think. Particularly in the light of his dismissal, and subsequent suggestions that he has left the school 'in the lurch' in terms of making the website inaccessible."

Also worth highlighting for those who may have missed it is this:

" Dear "A worried parent" Please join the people who are trying to do something about this situation teresa@stratlink.co.uk"

If you saw any others which you think deserve a wider reading, leave a comment.

Oh dear - this really does seem the last gasps of a dying blogsite - how will you fill the lonely hours now?

Going back to the June 14th Newsletter that contained both a note from Governors and Note from Staff re Blog. Firstly weird Alice in Wonderland situation of them obviously reading the Blog and then asking parents not to participate in it...

Secondly the utterly gobsmacking hypocrisy that they should write "teachers have a right to a workplace that is safe and free from unwarranted harassment". Absolutely 100% correct, so WHY did you not listen and act when so many teachers last year came to YOU to complain of harassment?

Thirdly the invitation to write to the Govening Body setting out concerns and seek a meeting to discuss and resolve such concerns - WWHHAATT??? how many lettters have you ignored, or taken so long to reply to? There is no confidence that you can or will resolve this situation.

Finally, I have patiently gone through the Blog entries and I can find no criticism of the teachers or the school, only of the Head and the Governing Body. Maybe we should not praise the teachers, but it is only to draw a specific line between them - great, thanks -and the Governing Body and Head - at whom the criticism IS directed.

Oh, and if any Governors are conducting Exit Interviews, may I suggest they are conducted in complete confidentiality...

Not sure about dying blogs (did you mean the school website?) but very sure that our school is sick and in need of intensive care and that some parents are brave enough to look for it.

oh dear- we seem to have finally lost the excellent but neglected school website after 18 months. Well done. Why was it not
replaced with a new one, perhaps another mass exodus of staff imminent? Watch this space

The school fete is upon us again and the PFA have been working tirelesly to ensure another great day for the children and the school. I wish them every success.

Perhaps they could consider an additional game this year. "Spot the teacher who's staying" Anyone who spots them both should get a bonus!

sorry still daren't leave my name! I don't think the blog site is dying so much as it's served it's purpose in allowing people to air their concerns and these concerns are now being transferred into positive action at a higher level.
